Hi, Nathan here, founder of I AM LIFE monastery:
In November 2021, the Lord began to stir a brand-new mission within me. It was something I had never thought of before. It was to start a monastery!!! This monastery was to be different in a lot of ways. It was to have living accommodations for three types of residents, men, women, and widows. Residents will be able to stay for varying lengths of time. Some might stay for 1 month, some for many months and others for a full year. This monastery is different than other monasteries. There will be no mandatory religious vows and o denominational religious obligations. focussed on helping single people and widows answer the call of God, to get away and spend time at the feet of Jesus. It will be a place where they live on-site, spend time with Jesus, live in the community, and spend time in nature.
Christ's followers throughout history have taken time away to spend time with God. In that sense, this concept is nothing new. Yet, there aren't any opportunities that I am aware of to do that for an extended period. Most opportunities to get away are for short-term retreats. The I AM LIFE monastery ministry is being created for that purpose. Christ's followers will have an opportunity to get away and SIMPLY BE with their Maker.
This is what I felt from the Lord; He is calling people to step away and spend time with Him. He wants people to be obedient to Him to answer this call, but there must be a place for them to go to. This will be that kind of place.
